MOVIE REVIEW – “Wanted”: My 1 hour 50 minutes Back


Maybe I’m a little behind in watching some of these movies, but in the case of the 2008 release “Wanted,” starring Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy, I don’t think I’ve been missing much.

“Wanted” is intended to be a pulse pounding, high action adaptation of a comic book about an average schmuck who is groomed by a centuries old clan of assassins to avenge the death of one of their number at the hands of one of their own. Unlike several other comic book adaptations to hit the screen over the last few years, “Wanted” sucked an unsually jaw-breaking volume of donkey balls.

The Good News


So that I don’t break from tradition and disappoint the few of you who read this blog by not responding to media releases from Apple, I just wanted to take this opportunity to allay whatever fears you may have had that the technology giant might be suffering financially. What with the complaints over defects with their new phone and quiet complaints about flaky Wi-Fi on the iPad, a lot of you must have been wondering whether Apple would begin to lose money. Those of you who were worried, raise your hands.

I wonder if you have to fail a mandatory intelligence test in order to qualify for entry into the Republican party of America?

Never one to be perturbed or held back by something so pesky as public ridicule gross incompetence, Sarah Palin is still churning along in what many expect will be another run at the White House in 2012. If the democratic process manages to dodge that particular bullet again, don’t feel bad for the ex-governor of Alaska; apparently, Palin fancies herself on par with Shakespeare.
