The editorial staff of the Ottawa Citizen produced a piece in today’s paper entitled “The myth of the crack baby,” arguing that the reason we have traditionally spoken so ill of mothers abusing crack cocaine while pregnant is because of a double standard that we should seek to rectify. If I could ask them, I’d like to know exactly at what point in the writing process did rational and balanced thought leave their argument.
